Reported on Form 8834, the Qualified Plug-in Electric Vehicle Credit is calculated on certain manufactured 2- or 3-wheeled or low-speed 4- wheeled plug-in electric vehicles (such as street adapted golf carts). The electric vehicle draws electricity from an external source rechargeable battery. The credit is 10% of vehicle cost up to $2,500.
