Error: "Unable to create tax return with unknown tax return type S2010USXXXX"

One of the following error messages occur when attempting to start a new tax return in TurboTax Business:
- Unable to create tax return with unknown tax return type S2010US1065 (partnership and LLC returns)
- Unable to create tax return with unknown tax return type S2010US1041 (estate or trust returns)
- Unable to create tax return with unknown tax return type S2010US1120 (corporation returns)
- Unable to create tax return with unknown tax return type S2010US1120S (S corporation returns)
Solution
This issue can occur if your TurboTax Business program didn't install correctly, for example if files became corrupted during the installation.
To resolve, uninstall TurboTax Business, and then reinstall the program.
If the problem persists, try installing from the hard drive (if using a CD) or downloading your TurboTax Business program again and installing from the newly-downloaded file.
