Certain customers, who have scholarship income, might have filed an incorrect tax return

TurboTax has fixed this issue.

How to tell if you are impacted:

You may be affected if ALL of the following are true:

  • You filed a 2010 Wisconsin return prior to March 5, 2011 AND
  • You were claimed as a dependent on someone else’s tax return (for example, your parent’s tax return) AND
  • You had scholarship income that was taxable on your federal return

If you are affected, you may have overpaid your state tax. You will need to amend your state tax return.
