Arkansas 2010: Federal Married Filing Separate

Certain customers, who filed Married Filing Separate for Federal purposes and Married Filing Separate Different Returns for Arkansas, may have filed an incorrect tax return.

TurboTax has fixed this issue.

How to tell if you are impacted:

You may be affected if ALL of the following are true:

  1. You filed a 2010 Arkansas Income Tax Return prior to February 23, 2011 AND
  2. You filed Married Filing Separate on your Federal return AND
  3. You filed Married Filing Separate on Different Returns for Arkansas AND
  4. Your spouse had Adjusted Gross Income and Itemized Deductions that were not included on the Arkansas Income Tax Return (Lines 27 and 28b of Form AR3)

If you are affected, you may have overpaid your state tax. You will need to amend your state tax return.
