Minnesota 2012: Individual Amended Return

A Minnesota taxpayer files a Minnesota Form M1X. when they need to amend (change) a tax return that has been filed.

Certain Minnesota customers, who filed an amended return, may have an incorrect 2012 Minnesota amended tax return.

TurboTax has fixed this issue.

How to tell if you may be impacted

You may be affected if ALL of the following are true:

You filed a 2012 Minnesota amended income tax return (Form M1X) prior to March 16, 2013 AND
You had a refund on your original 2012 Minnesota tax return (Form M1, line 30) AND
On your original Minnesota return, you applied any of your 2012 refund to your 2013 estimated taxes (Form M1, line 35) and/or you contributed to the Nongame Wildlife Fund (Form M1, line 21).
