Updated: 3/20/2013
Article ID: SLN45756
Certain customers, who filed a return with a status other than Married Filing Joint and have dependent care expenses, may have an incorrect tax return.
TurboTax has fixed this issue.
How to tell if you are impacted:
You may be affected if ALL of the following are true:
- You filed your federal tax return prior to February 17, 2011, AND
- You did not file a Married Filing Joint return AND
- You have at least one dependent with dependent care expenses AND
- You entered some or all of your dependent care expenses directly on your Personal Information Worksheet in Part IV (through the Forms view)
If you are affected, you may have underpaid your federal tax. You will need to amend your federal tax return.
