We have a product for every tax situation. You can select the right product for you from our Products and Pricing page, or we can help you choose the product that best fits you. If you hit a point where another product might be better for you, we'll point this out, and give you the opportunity to upgrade. The info you've already entered will transfer automatically.
TurboTax starts by asking you simple questions about yourself. Then, based on your answers, we search for deductions and credits that are unique to your situation. Your answers determine what questions are asked next.
TurboTax lets you prepare your taxes using your computer, your tablet, or your mobile phone. Each TurboTax product has its own base pricing.
For most customers, we recommend TurboTax Online, which allows you to try TurboTax for free. You won’t pay until you file your tax return.
Pricing for our online products starts with our Free Edition, which allows simple filers to prepare and file a federal tax return for free. Our other online products vary in pricing, based on your needs and the complexity of your tax return. If you reside in a state which requires you to prepare a state return, we can help you with this for an additional fee. Free efiling of both your federal and state tax return is included with your purchase for all TurboTax Online products.
If you are planning on filing multiple tax returns, our CD/download products include tax preparation for one state and also let you prepare and efile up to 5 federal returns.

Doing Your Taxes
Don't worry, TurboTax double-checks your return for errors as you go, and before you file. We also guarantee our calculations are 100% accurate... or we'll pay you any IRS penalties plus interest.
While we do accept all major credit and debit cards, you can also choose to pay for your TurboTax fees right out of your tax refund. There is an additional fee for this service.
After You File
No one can get you your refund faster than TurboTax with efile and direct deposit. Federal efile is included with TurboTax at no extra charge.
If you've already efiled, you can track your refund by signing in.
Yes. We offer free one-on-one audit guidance year-round from an experienced tax expert to let you know what to expect and how to prepare in the unlikely event you receive an audit letter from the IRS.
If you've already received a letter from the IRS for a return you filed with TurboTax, you can download our Audit Support Center.
We also offer full audit representation for an additional fee with TurboTax Audit Defense.
No problem. When you file, we’ll give you the option to have your tax refund directly deposited onto the NetSpend Premier® Visa® Prepaid Card. This reloadable Visa debit card can be used everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted - including online, for paying bills, and at ATMs.
Or, have your refund mailed in a check. You can receive your refund by check, whether you're printing or efiling. This will take longer than direct deposit.
